How do you mean 'it never worked' after half an hour's working? You will have to be more specific about your connectivity problem if you expect any assistance from MTNL or this forum. Even consumer court will want to know if you plugged in the modem and switched it on.

Thanks to popkorn for clarification on download speed. Though I applied on 10 th Jan, I have not heard from MTNL so far. I am in Mira Road, which is supposedly already covered by now.On inquiry I was asked to contact local exchange at numbers provided which were getting no reply last two days. :((

You mention a download speed of 26kbps, is it a typo and you acually mean 256 kbps ? Secondly how do you arrive at this speed .. if you are using a download manager like Getright/Glashget etc., what speed do they show on average for the download ? Thanks.
