I had the same experience last year. TravelPort confirmed our booking in a hotel in Kochi and when we landed there the hotel refused to accept the vouchers saying payment is an issue and they had no communication from TravelPort. Finally, I had to pay on my own. :-(

I had poor experience. The enticed me with free vouchers but when I tried redeeming, I was not allowed on all products. I had worse experience. I booked through Travelport and when I reached the hotel they said that they have the booking on my name but Travelport has not released payment to them and so they won't let me in. It was a shocking spoiler.
Postscript: Within 12 hours of posting this review, a customer service person calls me up (she read the review :-) ). After some amount of useless justification, like, ''we never got your email'' she finally agreed to replace the defective book. And yes, a new book finally did come to me. Mout read more...

I have similar experience with Nilgiris in Mysore and Chennai. The staff are obnoxious. They are taking undue advantage of their brandname.
