Contests, competitions and quizzes have always excited me because of the thrill and the glory of winning associated with it, but #TweetATee was not like any other contest. It’s a lifetime experience for me. Twitter contests are usually online and I participate in almost all of them, however I always wanted to take a part in an offline integrated campaign which is a typchandru021y Mumbai stuff.
When I saw the information about #TweetATee contest on twitter @OnlyChennai, I really got geared up for it. Infact I called up my friends to join me for this unique contest. After all it’s about Adidas, my favorite brand, so I had to make a big contribution in it. No contest has ever given anything on a single tweet. Every contest requires continuous efforts, outstanding creativity & numerous tweets to win but #TweetATee was really different. To win the Adidas T-shirt, all I had to do was to rush at Adidas Originals Store (Chennai), choose a T-shirt, try it and tweet about it. That’s it! It was this simple. And the excitement among the crowd in the Store excited me further.
It was really a ‘Never before Contest’ for the entire city of Chennai and it brought the excitement in the boring Friday afternoon. Campaign created a good buzz and I guess new consumers too!
