Aditya is working in a MNC as a Manager. During last pooja vacation he had been to his village Nayakpur. He spent a fifteen day in Nayakpur. During those days he met many people, they conducted many functions. They had arranged many temporary temples for Devi Durga. They worshiped the goddess for ten days. The whole village was decorated in lights. They had arranged for different stuffs to entertain the people for whole ten days. Aditya enjoyed the days, he was about to come his work habitant he meet a girl. She was Aditi. She was an engineering student and had on a visit to her uncle’s house.

Aditi was beautiful. Both saw each other and felt in love. Aditya spent that day with her. He liked each and every activity of Aditi. He had decided to marry her. They exchanged their telephone numbers. On the next day Aditya left for his work place. Aditya phoned her regularly, they discussed all the stuff. Even they started discussing their personal matter. One day Aditya proposed her and she agreed. They talked much as before. And days went like that.

One day Aditi told him that her period had stopped for last two months. Aditya scolded her like anything. He asked about her boy friend. He abused her and pointed her as a prostitute. He had not listened anything and cut the phone. After that Aditi tried a lot to make him understand but he never took her phone. Days went by, almost about a year. Aditya had less interest to go his village but his parents forced him to come. He went to Nayakpur. This time he could not give his full attention in the Pooja celebration.

One day he saw Aditi and her eyes, they were wet. But he ignored her and diverted his path. Aditi followed him and wanted to say something but Aditya did not turn back. Aditi called Aditya loudly then Aditya came and abused her in the middle of the village. Aditi could not tolerate that and came back to her village.

On the next day Aditi was in hospital, counting her last time. She asked her father to call Aditya. Aditya could not believe that. He rushed to the hospital. He looked at Aditi and asked why she did this. Aditi explained why she missed her monthly periods. That was due to lack of hemoglobin in her blood. She had no other boys in her life. She only loved Aditya but Aditya had no faith on her. She tried a lot to make Aditya understand but she never got a chance. Last day she got abused in the middle of the village, which hurt her a lot. She did not want to live her life as a betrayer so she gave up her life. Aditya cried a lot. He found himself as a culprit. He begged the doctor to make her well. But Aditi had closed her eyes already. Aditya is still unmarried and always asking Aditi to forgive him.
