When, my friend who was supposed to pick me up from the Service Center dissapeared, I had to retort to other means of transportation for my way back home! The proudly poised AutoRickshaw stand started beckoning me, with melodramatic gestures more like the Hindi Movie Vamps trying to lure the Hero! I had exactly 3 Kms to go, and being out of cash, I unwillingly had to revert to the most famous Mode of Transportation - Walking!

To be frank like most of us, I too am addicted to convenience! Its been long since I walked for so great a distance! And somehow out of nowhere, I could see Abhishek Bachhan screaming "Oye Walk when you Talk!" And consoling myself with arguments ranging from "It would be a good exercise!" to "Its just a meagre 3 Kms".. off I went...

The long journey began, I could see Sophisticated ladies with handbags whooshing past me in those unsure Autorickshaw's.. I could see Government buses, parked at almost every inch of the road they could.. I could see little kids walking past me, loaded with sacks, plastic bags that surely weighed three times more than them!

As I neared the first kilometer, I was almost panting, and my reconciling thoughts have all been used by now. Another glance at the Autorickshaw's started to deter my determination, but with no other option at hand, I had to keep walking! The legs, ahhh the legs started revolting. And as the second kilometer closed in, they were all wasted! Then, as I lifted my head, suddenly, my apartment building appeared out of nowehere, and as an Olympic athlete staring at the finish line, a new wave of enthusiasm started flowing in and I was back! Though, I literally dragged myself into the last hundred meters, I finally made it inside the building, panting and exhausted!

But, As I neared the apartments, the most troubling scenes awaited me! In front of me were the magnificent stairs that ran all the way to the the second floor to my room, and bollywoodishly the same stairs came back down to the basement! :) And there was this adjacently poised Elevator! Which one? I thought aloud!Another special appearance from Mr Abhishek Bachhan, but this time without a single doubt in my mind, I hopped on to the elevator, dropped the bags, and a silent Phew came out of my mouth abruptly! I was back to sophistication and convenience! I was Back to Paradise!
