My mother was booked in the Air India morning 6:10 flight on November 2, 2012. I reached the Airport at 4:45 AM my mother was inside the airport by 4:45 on reaching home at 5:20 I receive a call from my mother that after taking her luggage and weighing it after standing in the queue for all the while the Air india employees said she cannot board the flight because it is less than 45 minutes left. I was amazed when she called up home they were not willing to listen


I Went back at the airport and could not speak to anyone by the ticket counter outside there were I was informed that I could buy the naxt available flight but I had to pay 13,000/- then I understood the logic , that make passengers pay this way there were many people stranded there we some people who I saw stranded with valid Boarding Passes.


I asked them if the refund can be obtained they said they were not aware of the process I had to go the same route it seems the way I booked. It was sheer nonsence.


I bought another airlines ticket and ensure my mother could travel
