Since the introduction of pvt. Insurers into Insurance Space in our country we have seen revolutions and innovations.
But since then if we see around us, most of us have been victim of different insurance products and companies. In the Month of Sept, Bajaj Allianz has been penalized Rs.3.1 Crores by IRDA for rejecting of death claims who died just after taking the insurance and could not receive the Bond papers.
At the same time it has been observed by IRDA that insurance companies are making outrageous payments to corporate agents which shows these companies are only interested to sale products but not giving value to their customers.
Apart from this there are many many other issues which we come across day-to-day.
If any expert is asked about this, experts say that the responsibility of one's money lie with oneself, he/she cannot blame the insurance agent or insurance company if he/she loses his/her money.
But these expert forget that we Indian are very simple people and we easily believe the "chinki-chupri baten" of the agents etc. and invest our hard-earned money.
And if we Indian are Simple, we must remain simple because simplicity, modesty, sacrifice and all are our assets we Indian have with us.
So, in such a scenario, we enlightened Indian who have access to internet etc. who must have been victim of any mis-selling, will not be going to be a prey to the culprit agents anymore, but we must also warn people around us about the mis-happenings. As I am working in a pvt company I try to talk to the new joinees, GETs etc. who recently started their professional career.
I also enlighten other people around me.
Moreover, I also ask them to tell their nominees that they have taken a policy and also keep all the claim forms downloaded from the website of the Insurance companies and keep them in one place along with written procedure for raising a claim in case of a mis-happening.
I also tell them in case the death claim gets rejected, how to do the escalation.
