I own a Maruti Gypsy King. I went to this Ali and Sons Garage in Koramangala, Bangalore for servicing. After 3 servicing I realized that they have been simply fooling me and cheating me of my money, while at the same time the vehicle's problems were worsening. In this post I will summarize their acts in details.I had 3 problems in the Gypsy. I detected a particular sound in my Gypsy and asked them to do something about this. These guys said it's a problem of the torsion rod and replaced it costing me 2300 rupees and nothing changed.

Next time I went back to them saying that the problem still persists and this time they said it must be an issue with some other part and replaced it again. This time I had to cough up 1600 rupees. Still nothing changed. In fact, the problem got aggravated. Then I went for a third time and they said that it might be a problem with the suspension and opened the entire suspension and messed it up. The problem was not at it's worth. Ditto with the second problem.

The second problem was that of friction in the steering wheel. They said that they will have to replace the bearings in the steering wheel. I coughed up 2700 for that and nothing changed. Then they said that to improve the mileage they would like to change oil and oil filter. They changed this too and nothing changed. In fact, later on when I opened my Gypsy after 2 weeks of replacement I figured out that the supposedly "new" oil filter was completely destroyed. I had never seen my oil filter in such a bad shape ever before. They had either not replaced the oil filter at all or worse they might have taken away my better oil filter and replaced it with one of their used and really bad oil filter. On the whole the experience was pretty bad.

I talked to them and they obviously denied anything like that. I will NEVER recommend this garage to anyone. I am pretty convinced that these guys have no expertise and on top of that they are big time cheats and swindlers. Add to that their exorbitant cost of servicing.
