Jolly buoy is uninhabited small island surrounded by shallow sea and other islands. It is open for tourist during December to May and weekly one day off. For rest of the year Red Skin island is open. From Port Blair about 1h30min journey by car to Sippi ghat and 30-45min by boat to island without any hard rolling-pitching. Dark green water fading into light green and finally white while meeting the clean white sand. The water is clear and see through depth is at least up to 20ft.
Please carry the following: food, water bottle, extra set of clothes, washable chappal, thick plastic carry bag for wet clothes - avoid thin plastic wrapping food.
Remember : Jolly Buoy is a no man's land, tourist are taken by two boats leaving Sippy ghat around 11 am and return from island around 3-30pm. Only toilet & change room facility for ladies and gents are available there. Per head tour cost includes snor keling also apart from seeing through glass bottom boat. Swimming skill is not at all required for snor keling - guides take care everything by carrying required gadgets. I suggest - avoid the breathing apparatus.
Jolly Buoy will look Pale if visiting after Havelock, so avoid doing so.
Andaman climate is hot, no need of carrying warm clothes even during December end -January beginning.
On way to Sippy ghat have a look at rubber plantation and various spices trees.
