Good listening is an active, and complex process that takes knowledge of a few basic talents and lots of practise. It wouldn't be wrong to say that listening should be given as much of time as speaking or reading. How many times we find ourselves diverted or lost in the process of listening to another person talking ( we pray he/she stops talking or hope he/she doesn't ask any question pertaining to the conversation coz we aren't there at all!)
There are times when mind wanders away to no man's land...this might irk the other person in conversation. It surely is not a good sign.We want people to listen to us with utmost importance, but we don't listen to the other person giving full attention. Good listening would not only make us a good communicator but also polish our interpersonal skills.
