Business is a game, and indeed like any game, there are rules to winning.

I’ve always believed in - the 3 Aces approach, when it comes to success in business. "Your Attitude, not your Aptitude, will determine your Altitude” Because, if you have the right Attitude it will build a strong aptitude which will result in high altitude.

Unfortunately, for most women, keeping an attitude that fosters success requires much more than inspirational verses.Most women create internal barriers by trapping themselves in traditional female roles. With attitudes like these up their sleeve, women find their dreams stuck in the middle of their list of roles as mother, wife, daughter et al. Sometimes the “nice girl” attitude that women have learned growing up, can permanently damage perceptions about her individuality and abilities.

Another attitude that closes the windows of opportunity and achievement for most women is confidence and the lack thereof. This can prove extremely costly because after all, a lack of confidence is like a time bomb that will eventually sabotage the business career.

Also women who minimize their accomplishments in the hope that someday someone will maybe recognize the same can be heading for an inevitable damage to the recognition of their efforts because in most probability, that day will never come.

Not having the right attitude in business is counterproductive to success. Success is a mindset, and if you let internal barriers get in your way and disrupt your positive attitude, your career could suffer.

Keeping control of your mindset and attitude and not letting anyone or anything get you down can give you a competitive edge or cut you out of the game.A change in attitude would imply a greater reversal of traditional attitudes as well as distinctive action steps like focusing on the specific business game you are engaged in, understanding the rules, and then playing the game devoid of these barriers that stifle your positive attitudes.

That’s where most games are won!!
