In history, there are two persons with whom I really impressed. One is Mahatma Gandhi and the other is Karl Marx. These two personalities were fully different from each other.

The first gave the dogma of classless society and the later emphasizes on the theory of Non Violence. Though there was a striking simililarity in both of theories that is both based on simplicity.

I remember an example, when Gandhi was in Sabarmati Ashram, on his birthday his followers lit some earthen lamps to lighten the Ashram, Gandhi annoyed and said that this is the wastage of money, when the people of our country are living in darkness, then to lighten up the lamp on my birthday is wastage of resources.

Now let us come on the point, the way poor taxpayers money is being wasted on common wealth game, Is it correct. Everybody seems to making money, everyday we hears report of corruption through media. It looks like there is a loot everywhere, fill your pocket as soon as possible, milk the opportunities and grab your person goal.

According to a report these games are the costliest games ever organized in the history of commonwealth games. My point is not that games should not be organized or the corruption. My point is that where should be the taxpayers money to be spent. The answer is for the people, people’s good, there welfare. This is the principle of a democratic state, the common good and social welfare.

My wife works in a government hospital as a laboratory technician, I sometime visit hospital to pick her up in evening. And what are the conditions of health facilities in India. No medicines, overworked doctors, lone queues, patients of cancer, burn, infections, tuberculosis waiting endlessly for their numbers. There is no one to take care for them.

Not particularly on health but almost all the areas, like education, rural development, employment, gender empowerment, where it need the money to be spent seriously are Ignored. I was hearing that Government is spending million rupees on the opening ceremony of common wealth where the most popular Bollywood stars would perform.

Do you believe that to pay a heavy sum to Aishwarya Rai to dance in this ceremony would serve any purpose to common people?. Taxpayers money would be spent on these dances and we would clap like Idiots, laugh on ourselves, on our agonies, would cheer on our fake pride that we have became a nation who could waste taxpayers hard earned money mindlessly just to organise these games.
