A progressive person is one who does not fear the challenge of change. He knows very well that status quo is inertia, boredom, inactivity and indolence. The one who does not move forward - does not welcome new thoughts and new experiences - loses his energy. A progressive person has to forget the past and accept the present. He has to make up his mind to fight the odds. The one, who is active, possesses the life force and vitality required for success; and the one, who fears change, is lifeless, dull and insipid.

Like day and night, summer and winter, profit and loss, union and separation, several opposing events of change are encountered in the life of a person. They appear to be mutually opposite but they are inseparable. When the era changes, it affects the entire world. In spite of its being a combination of creation and destruction, its ultimate outcome is auspicious. When the cyclone shakes everything violently, pacifying drizzle of rain, too, follows it.

A human being's individual and social life is a combination of occasions filled with such changes. Change is meant for making a person alert, courageous and wise. Human dignity lies in welcoming the challenge of changes in order to move on the path of progress. Getting frightened by them and accepting the status quo is cowardice. Only those win the battle of life who consider change as a synonym of progress and welcome and embrace it gladly.
