Autocar UK haad recently reported that Ssangyong's new crossover the X100 will make it debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Affordability will be the USP of the SUV.


What is unique about this vehicle is that it is the first product to come out of Ssangyong's co-owner - The Mahindra. Initially, the car will only be available in the UK market. It is expected to spike Mahindra's sales in India as it comes both in Diesel and Petrol versions.


“This is a big car for us, because it marks the beginning of a new era for the company and pitches a particularly well-priced car in to a growing segment of the market. We are the niche Korean brand, and we always will be, but we think we can exploit that to deliver quality cars for an affordable price. That clearly resonates with some car buyers, and will do so in the future,” is what Steve Gray, a top exec at Ssangyong had to day about their forthcoming release.


Mahindra has been instrumental in bringing more versatality into Ssangyong and will benefit the Korean company as it aims to become more profitable. The South Korean manufacturer seems to be undergoing a complete overhaul with a host of new cars to come from them.


The new car will take desing cues from Ssangyong's XIV-1 concept. Priced at around 12000 pounds makes this car an attractive option. Lets see how this car will perform!
