When I saw this new concept of Mahindra KOMODO, the first thing that comes in my mind is BMW X6. Yes truly, it looks the same; however, just by the looks, I like the front light of this new SUV better than BMW X6. Just look at the pic, it looks so hot.

This concept is one of the theses project in IED Torino(Italy). The judges who include officials from Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. and Mr. Chris Bangle(Ex chief of Design at BMW Group) have commented it a well developed project and very interesting. Kudos to aspiring Indian designer and IED Torino graduate, Makrand Patil.

I’ve observed a culture of Mahindra that has always being naming the vehicles ending with an O(ie: Scorpio, Bolero, XUV 5OO(just to name a few). Comodo with a C also means comfort in Italian(which was our base idea for this project). With a quiet Porsche look from behind and Lamborghini from the front, I guess it would be remarkably competent with the BMW X6 series and Audi Q1 to Q6 models.

However, with it’s offshore competent, this model will not loose its Indianism and can be used anywhere form silky smooth highways to steep gradients, big drops and deep water. It focusses more on its off-roading abilities, a true 4x4 vehicle that a whole family can enjoy. Mahindra is still working on the project keeping in mind the vehicle will be for the near future( say 2-3 years from now). Hence, it would be powered by a Diesel hybrid. How about if it sounds just like Lamborghini or Porsche or if it provide us with internet & Wi Fi connectivity? Wait I need to control my Innovative perceptions or else the Indian car lovers who are driving in the cities like Kolkata, Delhi . will not spare me.

Let’s wait and watch, will it rock the market like Mahindra Scorpio?
