Conclusion In spite of repeatedly calling HP customer service in India they failed to assist me in any way. On the other hand I got cheeky replies and snide remarks passed my way. The head of customer service in India confirmed that the HP customer service can in no way help anyone out with regards their laptops. Those people are merely there to give you information given in the HELP sections already in the Laptop software.
As of now my laptop is redundant and the graphics card which is integrated with the motherboard has stopped functioning, all this in spite of me telling HP that the graphics card was the problem with the Laptop. Their next excuse was that the service technicians can only handle a limited level of problems with laptops.
At the end of the day HEWLETT PACKARD concludes that they only sell you a Laptop, the after sales service or any further communication is futile. (When I asked the helpline to help me connect to the internet as I couldn’t, they asked me to disable my antivirus software and connect. That didn’t help at all, but a virus did infect my PC and I lost all my data…300 GB of it)
They have advised me to shell out $500 for a new motherboard or buy a new laptop.
