A few months ago, the TOI and some other newspapers had carried an article which was astonishing. As per the laws of the land, most of the degrees given out by DU for the last 3 years were unlawful and invalid, since none of the colleges affiliated to DU, had renewed their registration with the UGC and AICTE and as such, were'nt allowed central grants and had lost the authority to award degrees which had the AICTE and UGC approval.

If that is correct, the all the thousands of degrees awarded to the students of DU are invalid!

Can anyone actually throw some light on this.
