Do we respect the women, do not think it politically, think it socially. Meanwhile it is very difficult to answer. I remember an incidence, which was long back 1996 or 1997, I was waiting for the bus when I was returning from the school at bus stand. Suddenly what I saw, a man and women both were arguing very unpleasantly and within few minutes’ argument turned into abuses, dirty abuses from the man side.

Within few minutes crowd gathered there and soon the man started slapping and kicking the woman, it happened suddenly, but surprisingly no one in the crowd protested and they were looking like they were enjoying the scene as a spectators as a cricket match was going on. Then the man stopped an auto rickshaw and fled from the scene, the woman first started crying and then she too walked away in a street.

I do not what the story was, and I was not adult enough to enquire about that at that time, it might be a case of domestic violence, something else and might be have many probabilities. Meanwhile my point is something different; it is about man’s masculinity over women’s Identity.

So where is the women’s Identity, is it related to the man, does all the relations exists of patriarchal society. Does education makes us a good human being, what we learn from the books, is female foeticide is most occurring in educated people. These are all the questions and if we retrospect honestly, we know what the answers are .
