Today's topic is "Does Comparison affects the Mental Growth of a child"? The answer is absolutely YES. From Parent's point of view, it is not wrong, as they are doing this for the good of their child. Their intention is to perceive their particular child also growing. In their eyes, all the children are equal. Although, they don't know, what mistake have they done. They have shown the weak child, that his/her brother is superior to him/her. As a consequence, what will happen? A jealousy will take place in the child's mind against his sibling .However, It doesn't show that the child loves his family or not? He tries to maintain some balance between his thoughts and behavior. But, somewhere, in his subconscious mind where jealousy has already taken place, it is converting into different forms like anger, frustration. Thereafter, all these emotions will start coming out in his behavior and sometimes actions too, which might result in a big fight with the sibling. Nobody can control these emotions as of now. Emotions have come out in the conscious mind, trying its best to change his cognition in a very negative manner. Only, family can control this behavior by talking to him or by giving him Emotional Support. Otherwise, these emotions will affect the mental growth of a child in a much larger picture.
