We hear it said, "Don't shoot the messenger," but we do it anyway. We rarely use guns or arrows on speakers, but we doze off, day-dream, and let our eyes glaze over. Have you heard any dull presentations lately? Do you applaud at the end of a speech just because it's over? Are your presenters walking around with bullseyes on their chests - waiting to be shot?

People will probably always shoot some messengers. but you can get better and need not get shot! Even the most technical presentation can be given with energy and enthusiasm.
