WILL EK VILLAIN MEET ALL THE EXPECTATIONS?

Normally, medium-budget films, starring newbies, don’t necessarily create tremendous buzz. But Ek Villain is an exception. Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, Ek Villain carries loads of buzz and with it expectations as well thanks to its brilliant theatrical trailer and super-hit music. It is directed by Mohit Suri, who gave the blockbuster Aashiqui 2 last year and is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The promos indicate that it’s a twisted, dark thriller and according to reports, it is an official remake of the Korean cult film I Saw The Devil. However, the film looks fabulous at least from the trailers and that’s the reason that it is one of the hottest films of the year despite the dark theme of the film. And as said before, the songs have clicked big time. The casting is superb as well. Sidharth looks dashing while Shraddha looks very adorable. However, the real surprise of the film seems to be Riteish Deshmukh. This is the first time he’s getting into such a space and it seems he has passed out with flying colours!

Ek Villain is expected to open with a bang. The costs are reasonable. Hence, even if the word of mouth is negative, Ek Villain would be in a safe zone as the film would recover its costs more or less in the first 3 days itself.
