A mandatory
health check up “confirmed” what I already knew. I am underweight. The doc
coolly told me “Don’t worry; you will put on weight after you are married. Look
at me. I too was like you before marriage..blah blah…”
(Gawd, help me plzz…I already have quarreled
with ING Vysya not to rate up my premium coz I am underweight. I Just finished a
letter asking them to cancel my policy. They will not refund money if I put on
weight. The doctor appointed by ING to get my medicals done was also skinny and assured me it is not a problem. He was lean too.).
I decided
it is time I actually did something “else” to increase my weight.
Guess what?
There are 17,400,000 pages to help me gain weight. But when I want to lose
weight I get help from 34,400,000 pages!!! (Nearly double). One fellow clearly mentions
it is difficult to put on weight.
I am 180 cm
and a measly 52 kg in weight and grossly underweight as per any standard in the
world. I have managed to put on only 2 kilos in last 4 years!!!. I am easily
filled. One moderate meal and I am not hungry for another 5 hours!!
My searches
on the net to put on weight yielded me this:
Eat more calories than you actually
burn. Good
suggestion, but how??
Well, I eat 2 aloo parotas with
butter (2 small packs from amul).
Have Nescafe coffee in the morning in office:
1 glass from the dispenser.
Afternoon, 2-3 cups vegetable
sabzi with 5 rotis. Half cup curd, one cup dal, one cup vegetable soup, 8-10
slices of carrot/radish. Have fruits/sweet dish as deserts.
Another cup coffee in the evening.
Evening 4 boiled eggs.
Night 3
rotis and paneer masala with some rice and dal.
Alternate days cancel eggs and
have half chicken (kabab or grilled).
One bottle beer on Saturdays (I
don’t and have never smoked)
The only exercise I do is when
I type on the keyboard (my hands and finges) and when I walk for two-three
kilometers in the evening (my feet)
What am I missing?
Inspite of me eating what I mentioned above for the last two months, I have put on only 1
pound. I am supposed to have put on minimum 4 pounds!!!
Any
suggestions that have already been tried and tested ???. Expecting suggestions in comments…thanks
in advance….
