• Hollywood movie review: Untraceable (2008)

• Producer: Tom Rosenberg

• Director: Gregory Hoblit

• Cast: Diane Lane, Billy Burke, Colin Hanks, Joseph Cross

• Distribution: Sony Pictures

• Rating: 4 on 5 Stars

Hollywood flick ‘Untraceable’ is a genuine thriller and should be on your must watch list. You will enjoy it.

Diane Lane as Jannifer Marsh is a special agent with FBI Cyber Crime Bureau. The movie starts with a teaser killing of a pet cat by a Psycho, streaming live on the internet. The aberration turns into serial killings. Soon internet active Americans in bulk visit, a site called ‘Killwithme.com’ to watch live executions of prominent people from Portland county. The theme is More the visit, faster is the kill.

Bright Jennifer, her smart partner Griffin Dowd (Colin Hanks) and FBI are clueless about this new tech-savvy internet predator. They are completely helpless to stop live killings as the villain is way smart to leave any trace behind including IP address. The next live killing, being viewed by millions is Jennifer’s FBI colleague. Can she stop it? Can she hunt the predator down before the execution or she herself will fall pray? Well, watch it to find out.

The movie, Untraceable moves pretty fast from beginning till end, keeping you on the edge. You are encouraged to watch it this week-end but not with kids as many scenes are gruesome and disturbing. Overall a fantastic new age thriller. I am happy to rate it 4.0 on 5 stars.
