Well if you have been in Sales and have a postgraduate degree, you might be flooded with emails from recruiting agencies with offers as a sales manager to sell insurance.

If you respond and attend to the interviews, you will be told that your job mainly consists of appointing agents on commission basis and then driving business through them.

Now I tried , but the getting people to work on a commission basis specially retired people/housewife's/businessmen, evokes negative responses, no one is ready to give one week to training and then imagine if you enroll your relatives and have to drive them for business, imagine chasing a retired man twice your age ! for business, hats off to the guys who are into this.

If you have the money you can even sponsor their training fees below a thousand rupees mostly, but what if they are irregular in training and to top it do not give you any business, you exit from the company will be assured.

The scene for sales and marketing is real bad specially in Pune, everyone wants sales people from "their" domain, dont they know that sales and marketing skills are generic, builders offer Rs 10,000 for a sales job even for a guy who has 9 years of experience in sales

So where does a sales guy go Call centres?
