History, Geography, Science, Math
Why ever should I learn all that?
Music, games, drama, dance,
These should be given a better chance;
So that they may fill the day,
And school would mean fun and play.
Perhaps ICT maybe added too,
But strictly only to access Facebook.
And also it should be mandatory,
Every period we students are free,
To talk and do as we please,
And tell the teachers, “Do not teach”.
But the only glitch in all this is,
When mom asks me the homework list,
And I tell her,we have none,
‘Cos in class we have only fun,
She’d frown and tell everyone,
And be distraught about the situation.
She’d put me in another school,
Where nothing would be half as good;
So not to make matters worse,
Things have to remain as they are I guess.
Or maybe I can work out some other way,
Where Math and Science and all that stays,
But it’d be a virtual me that drowns in it,
While the real me has the fun-kit.
But to make this scheme really happen,
I’d need to take the help of Einstein;
My Science teacher tells he’s not around
So I’ll have to help myself, I’m bound.
So I sit with the Math and Science stuff,
For the tough get going, when the going gets tough.
And here I’m back with my faceless-books,
In an attempt to get the virtual reality look.
