Hi to all,
Somedays before I was watching an interview with a famous South Indian actress who is also a mallu. And after some questions, they put in a song sequence....And all of a sudden I started laughing.......( My mother might have thought that I amm....a little mad). Can u guess why?
Ofcource, the song was not from a Malayalam movie. And in that She was.....let us see or guess that afterwards. But before that let me give u a part from the actor's another interview which was taken before some years.....
Q: Ma'm what do you think about our actresses acting in glamorous roles in other languages?
A: Oh My God! I cannot even imagine that.....Even if I am offered 1 crore, I won't do that....I love my Kerala's traditional culture.....
And dear friends, She is now , the top Item Dancer in South India.
Another example, She is and was my favourite actress in Malayalam Movie Industry. I loved her mainly because of her hair and sweetness. Now u can see the change in the pictures. All her hair is gone......
And now, when I told these to my Mama, she told me: Don't laugh too much my dear, You too have some change.. iI thought for a while.....Yes, I am not wearing the traditional Sari or Pattupavada. Yeah. I too changed...
On changing the channel, I saw a phone-in program. There also I saw a change....The girl was struggling to speak in Malayalam....OMG she is speaking bad English toooo. She is just-just having a bad time, speaking in Malayalam.
And now I saw a program in a famous Hindi channel, I was relieved because the anchor is speaking in HIndi, that too in a very good manner. And the way she speaks in English- it is just Fantastic....
There are a lot of Keralaites in North India....We have a lot of them in MS. And if they come to Kerala to enjoy the Kerala's traditional change, what they can find now is , something drastic. There are no coconut trees, no rivers, only Flats, Villas, etc. You cannot find a girl with long hair.....Even if found, that is your victory!
The new generation don't know about the fame and glory of Malayalam.
I know one of my friends who said: "I think Malayalam is a bad language.....Useless rather.! "And the fact is that she is telling that in Malayalam!
No actresses like to wear dress, I should think. But to those who change the channels, when these kind of glam songs and all, my friend will say: IF THEY CAN SHOW, WHY CAN'T WE SEE? I have no answer to that. But I think, everything should have a limit. Imitations should have a limit, even if they are necessary.
Ithink, this system is growing in B TOWN too. OMG. My mouth opened when I saw one of the songs in 13B. Won't they feel any shame to stand like this in front of this much people?
Well, all these are my opinions and not criticisms....It is one's personal thing to decide whether to act, see or change like this....With good hopes,,,,
