I am not sure when I created an user id at mouthshut.com . It din't really matter because it was a time when I would create an user id on the net wherever it was free. However I have come a long way from those days and really forgot that I had created a login in one of my internet errands at mouthshut. But lately I was faced with a problem with one financial services provider and was at my wits end when I couldn't even get to talk to a customer service personnel because the service provider's lines were busy (continuously!). I thought I was facing the wall when I received some contest related mail from mouthshut.com. Purely out of curiosity I opened the site and there it was!...a place to voice my concern, which I did promptly. Got a couple of reviews too..immediately.
Honestly, I feel light at heart...at least I could write somewhere...pour my heart and talk out loud my distress! also, I knew someone would read it. It is another thing if the concerned people would read it.But I believe in the power of words, the power of the pen. It spreads like an epidemic... but for the good if used in the right manner.
In a country like India where "Justice delayed is justice denied" is just another wise saying that you find in the Rs.10 books sold in the local trains, a portal like mouthshut is a great blessing. Peoples views and opinions do matter and will matter all the time.
If any "mouthshut"ians are reading this, I have a suggestion. You guys have done a great job. But we (indian consumers) need to move to the next level very soon.
( Next Level : Let this not be just a platform to voice the concerns of internet literate consumers of India. It should also act as a credible agency which interacts with the right authorities in the government and create a pathway to truly ensure that the customer is "always" the king.
