It was a spur of a moment’s decision. I had to do it or cancel it. This time I had to choose between Yes and only yes.

So yes it was.

Now to proceed comes a few hurdles, then to deal with them!

All dealt with comes an expectation of what to expect, who all will be there, will I be able to gel with them, will everything go with peace and happiness.

A few phone calls and I was ready to meet Astrofreak(Tanna).

Entering the mall every smiling face of a woman looking in my direction seemed to me as Tanna. Couldn’t find her.

Sat to have a thunderstorm from McSwirls(ice cream), somebody tapped my shoulder. Turned and saw a very smiley cute face of a woman looking at me knowingly. She knew it was me. My daughter brought her an ice cream too. . . and this is how we broke the ice.

Few minutes later a smiley face teddy bear(sorry!) came in view with a group of MSians. Harry (Khulamunh) and Fenil, Ketan were the group. Initial “hi’s” and “Hello’s” we all introduced ourselves.

Then came Suraj-who had a last minute panic attack of canceling the MS meet due to his unshaven face!

Last arrival were a couple-Akash dwivedi and Nidhika with their little angel.

Raj called to wish everybody.

All this happened so quickly and so smoothly that I was surprised how naturally I was talking to everybody. The evening turned out quite nicely. Tanna was a gem, entertaining everybody with Harry too.

After the snacks the evening ended with ice creams(again!)

Phone numbers were exchanged, final goodbyes to the new friends we all went our own ways.

I had a bag full of memories to last a long time-and with the hope that maybe someday it will happen again.
