I hope everyone got to see the flash floods that came in North Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

I am from Kurnool (presently staying in Bangalore) which is worst hit. On Oct 3rd saturday, tv9 and sakshi news channels started propagating that kurnool will get submerged.....

due to which for whole night we didn't had sleep over here (As my parents stay there).

But fact was some places in Kurnool didn't received a single drop of water from River Tungabadra. As we were hearing the news we were requesting our parents to move out of Kurnool or go above 3rd floor. After that me and my friends called up their relative who work at Hospet Dam, then we got to hear that there is no problem as hospet dam outflow got reduced and no there will be no water level increase.

Same we informed to our parents and other people in Kurnool. Next day by morning water levels started decreasing and by evening everything came to normal. But still news channels were showing a message saying "50 people stranded on a Balaji Nursing home", when I called my friend staying there, told me there is not even one inch of water flowing how can 50 people gets stranded?

People over there in kurnool say the news that news channels showing are 50% fake news.

Now please give your suggestions, If our media for their interests provide these type of fake news to attract people what should we do?

I know how I went through the 2 days when I was watching these news channels.
