OF ALL WONDERS (A POEM)

Of all wonders most remarkable are those

That manifest themselves in your own life!

Witness how the children you lovingly rear

In your tradition add to their lives new values

That surprise you if you’ve lived long enough!

It’s certain their children will pitch in a few new

That shall anguish their progenitors in turn

Ere they learn that change is the law of life!

This is life and not what philosophies state;

They are only partial truth and mostly twisted.

It’s best to observe and not be unduly shocked!

All things are good; they happen, they do.

Nothing you do or don’t can ever stop time

Or events that roll on passing life and you by!
