Yesterday was a glorious day in the history of sporting extravaganza...as much for the political congregation too...

With over 200 nations participating and over 80 world leaders excitedly attending probably the costliest games ever...

I was more disturbed by the TV channels beamimg it to be the worst day with the numerological reference of 8-8-8 etc etc...

It is free press but knowing the power of audio/video media playing truant sometime,it was very distasteful to hear that the world is headed for doom;whereas record number of Chinese mothers were understood to be admitting themselves for the C-section deliveries to coincide with this day that happens once in a while-the Chinese revered it as one of the most auspicious days.

I saw this article today in the TOI where 2 mothers gave births to 2 lovely babies at a Mulund,Mumbai nursing home and I clicked it on my cell cam(see attached picture) and notice the clock ticking by too.

I remember that time when 1982 Asiad was held and every Baby born during the event was an Appu, like every baby born when Big B was at his peak was a Vijay and every baby born during the Main Pyar Kiya Days was a Prem or a Raj with DDLJ, or a this or a that...

Our population is grown and grown to extents that it is knocking just close to the Chinese count(which was being quoted durign the commentary yesterday as 1.3 billion) and we are well over 1.1.billion already...the day is not so far when we will be leaving the Chinese behind in the race.

I recollect the phrase when the little chinese girl was rendering a sweet chinese song that China is the first country to adopt the One Child Norm and they respect the girl child due to which that song got prominence...

In India,they say kuchh kaam nahin hai toi Bachhe hi paida kar lete hain...bade ho jayenge to kuchh maddad hi karenge...the olympic saga continues and we reel under the savagery of over population,inflation,corruption,.....Citius,Altius,Fortius...!!!!
