So long eight years have passed since India got attacked by Pakistani terrorists on 26th of November, 2008. It had marked with the worst ever and most dreadful terror assault in Indian history.
The terrorists hijacked an Indian trawler named “Kuber” which was on its fishing trip on the Arabian sea. They killed all the fisherman except the captain of the trawler by the use of whom they entered Indian water. They threatened the captain to kill him if he would not help them to come to India. But after his job was over they killed him by slitting his throat. Then a group of ten terrorists landed in Mumbai, the India’s most populous city. The ten terrorists were divided into four groups and started a havoc in our country. They targetted many iconic buildings in Mumbai like The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and Tower, The Oberoi-Trident Hotel, The Nariman House Jewish Centre, The Leopold Cafe, The Metro Cinema etc. They took many peoples as hostages at Taj Hotel, Oberoi-Trident Hotel and Nariman House. They mercilessly killed people and they took about 166 innocent lives including small children and more than 300 were injured by their gunshots. The barbarians shot everyone they found.
Two members of the terrorists arrived at the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus(CST) railway station in Mumbai and started heavy gunfire along with granade launchers upon the crowd of people waiting there. More than 70 people were killed and over a hundred were wounded there. The attack was also horrible at Taj Hotel.
It took about ’60 hours’ or ‘two and half a day’ to completely secure the buildings from the clutches of the terrorists. Nine of them were killed by Indian Commandos and one was captured alive but two Indian NSG Commandos and about fourteen Police officials including Mumbai Anti-Terrorists Squad’s Head were also killed. Every Indian will always salute those great warriors who sacrificed their lives by fighting with the Black sheeps.
It was a great pleasure to all the Indians that the only terrorist which was caught alive during the attack named ‘Ajmal Kasab’ was hanged to death on 2012, a long four years after the assault, by The Supreme Court of India.
The attack has passed eight years but every person in Mumbai still feels the terror of the horrible incident, the worst ever attack in Indian history.
