My friend amarjeet raised some queries & sevenhills answered him. In this article I will attempt to answer the queries as I would know a little more about sevenhills. I have tried to make it easier to read the article & sincerely hope I've suceeded in this: Amarjeet:: " Let me come to the negative aspects" sevenhills: "We are really thankful for you for feedback. We felt whatever the negative concerns are there, we would like to inform the facts to the public through you. kuru: "Why should amarjeet do what you yourself should be doing? Clarifying doubts is your job not his. And are there no positive things about the hospital that you want to convey? Amarjeet: "1. The hospital continues to have problems with the BMC even 2 years down the line. Whatever be the fault of the BMC, it is commen sense that the hospital management should have known before hand what they are getting into. One does not build a hospital and then sign the MOU. The final MOU should be signed first." Sevenhills: "We have signed a lease agreement with BMC and registered the document and we are strictly honoring what are all agreed between us and BMC. Lease agreement is a legal document and superior to MOU where the MOU is only for operating mechanism through which the Reservation procedure is followed. And even in this regard SevenHills has approached High Court with a request to make BMC to sign the MOU. The general perception is SevenHills is not ready to sign the MOU which is not correct" kuru: "This is a whole lot of legal jargon which dosent make sense. If you have signed a PPP with the BMC, there would definitly be certain terms & conditions. For the people, the simple fact is that you are not honouring the conditions and this has been going on for more than 2 years during which, the poor have been deprived of medical treatment at the hospital" Amarjeet 2. "The claim of the hospital that it’s the ‘best in Mumbai’ is false and without any basis" sevenhills: "Any service or any product has to be sold as the best. And this has to be appreciated by the General public and we standby it this as we are not giving any lesser service in the quality than anybody else". Kuru: "How can you say that 'any service or product has to be sold as the best'. Are you saying that while advertising a product, you have the right to make any claim that you want to sell the product? Do you think that the Advertising Council of India has no guidelines? Even the Consumer courts do not permit wrong claims. In fact you should be hauled up before these bodies and penalised for misleading the public! And on what standard do you measure the quality of service you are rendering? The hospital hasent even been recognised by the NABH which most leading hospitals have" Amarjeet: 3. "The claim that it is one of the largest in Asia is also wrong. At present there may be about 100 beds which are functional. Wrong advertising should also be punisable because it misleads". sevenhills: "Kindly understand we are making one of the largest, because one location in India with these many beds is not available in the private sector. The total bed strength is not being operated by us and we are ramping up depending upon the patient number. No patient will come to any hospital just because it is largest. Ultimately public believe in quality. And by advertising one of the largest we feel we are not harming anybody. No patient will come to any hospital just because it is largest. Ultimately public believe in quality" Kuru: "You contradict yourselves. You claim to be the largest hospital but at the same time you say "The total bed strength is not being operated by us and we are ramping up depending upon the patient number". So now you may be having 100-200 functional beds. And still you claim that you are the biggest! Why dont you do your bragging after all the beds are commissioned? Which, for all you know, may never happen. Such bragging misleads the people. In the same breath, you also say that "No patient will come to any hospital just because it is largest. Ultimately public believe in quality". Of course thats the case. Then why are you bragging that you are the biggest and best? Looking at the bed occupancy of the hospital, it is clear that people have seen through your false claims. Yes, you are very correct that people are concerned about quality of service & you lag way behind many other hospitals."
