How the great Pyramids were built is a great story, which is beautifully unfolded like a mystery by the BBC Documentary. It is retold from the eyes perspective of Nacht, one of the workers, who is enrolled in the name of the King Kaifu. The messengers urge them to repay the King with their labour to build the greatest monument on the earth. No wonder it is termed as one of the wonders of the world.
The life of the brothers is beautifully potrayed. The induction into the camp sites and work schedule is beautifully potrayed. How a team of workers combined with craftsmen and architects is a great story which in unravelled in this BBC documentary in 6 parts which is recorded by cheegum, a strange id though and uploaded in Youtube.
The narration is well combined in the visuals which borders around the construction stages and triumph of the human endeavour. The Pyramid was constructed to bury the great king KUFU. It took nearly 20 years and toil of 20,000 men to complete the monument.
How the great burial chamber was constructed is the central part of the documentary. The technology used is amazing and the knowledge of astronomy and mathematics has been used to perfection. Egyptians had mastered the art of motivation much before the age of industrialization and modern HR practices. In the name of the King the workers were fed and made to enjoy their life after a hard day’s labour. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey of this documentary.
