Me along with four other friends started our trip on Bikes to Ramanagar(Karnataka) popularly known as sholay hills from Electronics city Bangalore.

We started around 11:00 PM from Electronics city, took Nice road where the condition of road is very good to drive on & also this is the shortest route

as shown on google map.

We reached Rasta Cafe at around 01:45 AM, So one might me wondering what took us so long?

It was one our friend's birthday so on our way towards Rasta cafe we stopped in between to cut cake and celebrate his birthday.

In Rasta Cafe, one cannot book a table in advance and can only request for one after reaching the venue. After a long wait of around 1 hour and 30 minutes we finally

managed to get a table at around 3 AM.

Food was average(Please go through my review in MouthShut on Rasta Cafe for full details on food and ambiance https://mouthshut.com/review/Rasta-Cafe-Mysore-Road-Bangalore-review-ptsosstqopn). Well we enjoyed our Hookah and Gossips

and started our journey again at around 5 AM(We got to stay back extra time in Rasta cafe as we knew one of the waiter there) In between we stopped for

early Morning tea and reached Ramanager at around 6:45 AM and the sky got clear by that time. We were not allowed to go inside for trekking before 9 AM as

according to forest officials, leopards roam around the jungle at night and dawn. So we roamed outside the main gate and clicked some pictures of the

surrounding nature. We went inside at 9 AM after completing formalities with forest officials and paying them for parking. Upto a certain point we could take our bikes and then we had to trek the rest.

We started the trek at around 9:45, There are approximately 300 Stairs in between and a lot of monkeys, temples and also a beautiful surrounding of mother nature. After we completed 300 Steps

(approx as we missed our counting in between) there was a ladder shaped boulder that formed a typical staircase that leads to the top most part of the Hill

( The most risky, beautiful and the best part of this trek). After trekking for 2 n half hours in total we reached the Hill top popularly known as Sholay Hill top,

we could see the best view from that point.

We took as many pictures as we could and enjoyed the moment to the best.

After staying for a hour we came down(which was quite easy then Climbing up) we had Sugarcane juice to refresh ourselves and then

finally came back to the main gate where we signed off from the forest official's register.

We proceeded towards the exit where there was a small Dhaba, stopped there to have breakfast. One can find many other small shops to have breakfast

near Ramanagar entry point which are quite cheap and hygienic.

And finally we took the same Nice Road to get back to Electronics city.

The journey was tiresome with no sleep and lots of travelling but the trek made up for all these and we returned with lots and lots of memories.

One can plan this one day trip on weekends for a pocket friendly break away from Bangalore City.

Happy Reading:)
