I have been cheated by Rediff Shopping twice. I would not like my dreadful experience so that no body else get cheated again.
Instance 1: This was 2 years ago. When I ordered a piano to gift to my son on his 2 birthday. It was very disappointing experience to me as the product came to me in a damaged condition. I called up customer service # couple of time but there was no proper response and I lost the faith of getting the product replaced. I still have the piano with me.
Instance 2: After my first experience, I thought I should never ever shop at rediff shopping. but I did assuming this time at least I would not be cheated. This time I order a car accessory and I was delivered with a dusting brush. It was ridiculous. I was shocked at opening the product. This time I wrote rediff about the incorrect product being delivered to me. I expected to get a call from rediff and get this product replaced with what I ordered. Instead I got a reply mail (that too very late) asking me to return the product with the same packaging within 7 days to the seller to get my money back. I was really got irritated with rediff's response. Why should I be returning the product (that too with same packaging) to the seller. Is the mistake is from my side? The only mistake from my side was the shopping that I did in rediff.com.
At first place, the mistake is done by the seller & rediff shopping and hence they should take effort to correct it. They should get in touch with the customer to deliver the right product and take back the incorrect product.
I am a regular shopper in online portal and I have done shopping in various other sites (like, naaptol, flipkart, yepme, shopping.indiatimes, infibeam etc) but never had any problems.
I would insist people not to shop at rediff shopping and unnecessarily waste money & time.
