I bought a residential flat in seaswoods a year back. As MTNL did not had any connetivity to my buidling I had to opt for reliance communications the 'notorious' company of anil ambani group to provide a land line connnection with broad band connection. the application for filled, signed and given to the "most friendly person in this world" i.e. the representaitve of the company along with the cheque for installation services. I was assured that the line would be connected within 15 days from the receipt of application. the cheque was encashed within couple of days but I could not see anything happening for more than a month. fed up I finally started contacting the customer care of reliance who by birth right did not know anything about my application or the work been done in my area. after fighting with them and writing letters the line was connected and the broadband and phone line started functioning. however, my joy was shortlived as within 2-3 days the connection went dead.


i again started chasing these most wanted guys who keep your call for holding for 10 minutes as their so-called customer care personel are very busy. so I again started to write letters and issued a notice to them at their HO. finally somebody felt that I should be heard and my work was done after almost a month. THE REASON FOR THE DEAD LINE WAS 'THE MSEB PERSONNEL HAD DISCONNECTED THE CONNECTION TO THE TRANSMITER LOCATED ON THE ROOF TOP OF MY BUIDLING AS THE POWER CONNECTION GIVEN TO IT WAS ILLEGAL. so everything went right for a month. however, when I received my bill for services I found that the name of the subscriber was spelt wrongly. hence I informed the mysterious customer care people of this who promptly told me that it would be done in the next bill. however, the next bill came in the same name. I again reminded them since they were so 'busy' in inventing evasive replies to be given to the customers and again I was promised that the same would be done. however, nothing happened on the third bill. so I again started a chain of emails. however, even in the next bill the name was wrong. hence I told them that enough is enough, I will not pay the bill untill I receive the bill with a corrected name. I was bombarded with reminder calls for payment of the pending bill but I was firm. the line was disconnected. I was firm. finally the great people got a divine intervention to solve my problem and the new bill came with correct name. I made the payment, line was activated and I was happy about the happy ending.


however, this ghost seems to have not set me free yet. last week I was trying my landline number I found the number was not responding. when at home I found that the telephone line is dead whereas the broadband is ok and running. I again contacted the specialised customer care of reliance communication to inform about the situation. with utmost courtessy the guy out there took my complaint apologised 10 times for the inconvenience (that reliance is going to cuase to me on this issue) and gave me a complaint number assuring that the work would done in 48hours. as expected nothing happened and no one contacted us for the dead phone repair. I again contacted the customer care as usual waiting for about 10-15 minutes to the most blessed customer care exectuive of reliance to come online to speak to me again apologising couple of time for the inconvenience I am facing and going to face, took my complaint again and gave me a new complaint number with the assurance that in next 48 hours my problem would be solved.


again since its the birth right of relaince communication and its customer care team to cause inconvenience to everyone who use their services, the work was never done. today I spoke again to the most blessed customer care personnel of reliance communication who are specialised in giving excuses and assurances. I was told that I should not have called them because my problem has been solved 2 days back and how stupid I did not know about this. I was really amused by this answer of the lady on phone. I asked her who the person who has written there that my problem is solved. she refused to give any name but again apologised for the trouble I am going to face with them took a fresh complaint and gave me a new complaint number.
