Did I tell you...

At times we needed to speak to persons at Head Office for certain clarifications. I used delegate the the work to One of my Juniors to get it done. Most of the time he used to get the things done in double quick time.I always Used to wonder how he manages, when my assistant couldn't....

So One day I overhead him speaking to the person on other side.. I could gather from the conversation that he was speaking to the watch man of the head office as it was late evening and everyone must have left the HO. And he was addressing him as "Sir"... I was astonished!!! Sir to a watchman This guy is out of his mind. In fact he used to address all of them as "Sir/madam". I reprimanded him as to where is the need to address the watch man as Sir.

To My Surprise He gave me Gyaan..

The watchmen or security personal or receptionists or front office people, are never addressed properly by most of us, even though they are the ones who allow us to get to their bosses... Many a times they act as barriers or firewalls to the Boss.

So if we address them as Sir or Madam they be happier and do have a reason to remember us next time ...And you can get through very easily and You never know who may be what tomorrow..
