SBI Rewardz portal for SBI Debit card holders provides you an opportunity to accumulate points as you buy using card.


The web site is buggy and support service dumb to the core. No one seems to care to resolve the issue.


I had 27000 reward points in 2016, I tried to redeem them in December as these points expire by Dec 31st. The portal never went beyond the Checkout page. Complaint with screen shot was sent to support team and spoken over phone multiple times. Eventually, the points are expired very promptly on time. The support team is useless people to the core without brains, no decision making or self respect. They are like IVR system, give you only pre-recorded answers irrespective how frustrated you are and wasting time on this stupid thing. They can't even raise a complaint in system and share the reference number for tracking.


It's been 2 months, the support guys telling me that they are trying to revert the expired points from back end teams. They say it is escalated and they are helpless. Only way is to wait.


Its very frustrating, they have sent so many auto generated mails to redeem the points and I took pain to register and waste my time.


I am still wondering how can a reputed bank like SBI can have such buggy web portal and dumb customer support?


Now I decided to put this message in every social forum so that at least somebody in SBI has self respect and takes responsibility.
