SOS Message to all with good knowledge of cell phone technology -

I had given my Samsung handset to an authorized service centre at Patel Nagar, New Delhi, as I was having some problem with the key pad (or touch pad). While the service centre people have rectified the problem, as they had to change the software in the process, they have deleted all the data (photos and contact details) stored in the internal memory of my phone.

I just want to know is there any way to recover or retrieve those photos and contact details? I will like to mention that the data was saved in the internal memory of the phone (and not in any external memory card), and the contacts were saved in the Phone memory and not in the SIM. I am ready to do anything, including downloading software from the Internet.
