"Poha". I said to canteen manager by giving him 12 Rs. He handed over a coupon and I went to delivery counter. I gave the coupon to the counter boy. He filled up a plate with Poha and a small bowl with coconut chutney and said "Sir aap ka poha!".

I took the plate and headed over a table. I sat and realized "Poha! That was the first word that came out of my mouth today."

It was almost 2 n half hours my day started and I haven't uttered a single word.

A cloud of thoughts covered my mind, looking for every possibility, what could be the reason.

It's not I live alone. I live with a fantastic bunch of 4 room mates. We are friends from last 3 n half years.I along with other two roomies wake up early at around 6.30/7.00, as we have to reach office by 9. When I wake up they are in a hurry to get ready so that they can match up to the speed of the company bus heading towards our area.

So greeting good morning to each other is simply out of scope.

I usually have a cup of tea (at a tea stall, we call it tapri) before leaving the office. As I am a daily customer for the chai wala, whenever he see me 200 Mtrs away he pours tea in a glass and give it to me. So again no need to talk.

Thinking long about this, I have still not found any reason why this is happening.

Am I living a robotic life? Programmed to wake up and sleep, programmed to do daily stuff.

A Few observations, I feel I am living a robotic life but almost all people around seems to be in the same boat.

Best example could be my office bus, A guy who calls his girlfriend every morning....another who reads Sundarkand....the person who sleeps in the bus...and me who looks out of window...Nothing has changed. So robotic and stereo type.

Still in search of reason!

Have you been through this? Have you realized the reason?
