Superstitions! yes you read that right. superstition has a lot to do with this world. There are certain things that are affected due to many superstitious beliefs as still many believe in some old superstitions. I thought of writing about this when I recently encountered with such a case! I am from INDIA and its all rainy season this month. And one of my friend figured out chicken pox marks in her body . chicken pox is caused due to Varicella-Zoster virus and is a communicative disease. But in INDIA chicken pox is considered as a holy upcoming of godly activities in body, and the one affected with chicken pox is treated as GOD. People call it GOD coming in victims body. They are treated very nicely as there are certain things that are followed at the victims home. The victim has to sleep on a clean bed sheet with neem leaves all over it and the victim is applied with turmeric and neem paste all over the body. Non-veg is strictly avoided to be made at the victims house .What makes me amazed is that those things are too prescript-ed by doctor,as non-veg has to be avoided and neem has medicinal properties as well. what I have come up with superstitions is that they just call them with wrong names whereas the things followed are all right within. Which says that our ancestors did everything right at that time, just they had wrong names for those and did not know what to call them genuinely. superstitions also somehow cause the right things and certain unknown things in unpredictable ways. What I want to say is that its not wrong to keep any superstitious belief, because sometimes those beliefs lead you to right things, but what I want to say is that one should not act on superstitious beliefs until unless really tested and proved correct according to science. As some things done due to superstitious belief are termed scientifically correct irrespective of their weird names and reasons .Whether you call it super-vision of our ancestors or superstition, what matters is that whether its done correctly. SO whats your superstition?!
