Surrogate ads!

All surrogate ads would soon be barred from appearing in any form of media source - Information and Broadcasting Ministry.

The Liquor Industry has its major share for surrogate advertisements for their  brands like Bagpiper, McDowell’s, Royal Challenge, Kingfisher, Johnny Walker, Hayward’s, Derby,  running ads for Soda, Cassettes, CD’s, Golf Accessories and Bottled Water.  These Brand names and Company logo’s were a part of their earlier advertisements and familiar to customers. Keeping in mind, on the ill effect of products like Cigarette and Alcohol, Government has banned advertisements of these products. But manufactures of these products have commenced their own way of advertisement for their products in same name so that its loyal customer base would not forget the brand name.

These advertisements violate the statutory provisions and defeat of the ban and its purpose initiated by the Government.
