Diplomacy is such a spectacular art. It is not dependent on any state-of-the-art device or tool of science and technology, nor does it use any other tool. It only uses human skills like the power of communication/negotiation, empathy, rationality and common sense. And yet it manages to generate, retain and enhance mutual understanding and mutual appreciation among various nations of the world, eventually boosting peace, harmony and even co-operation among them.

Diplomacy is that art that can replace the state of malice and hatred between two countries with that of mutual respect, thus replacing the warlike situation between them with that of friendship and camaraderie. It is that art that reflects the basic ethos of the ideal human civilization, which does not have any place for arms race and warfare.
