Mumbai, the city of dreams - is what people have been saying all these years. It was a common talk within people "yaha kismat badalte der nahi lagti" means luck can change anytime here in Mumbai (provided you put efforts). A man can rise from rags to riches. Enough of all this talk even though it is true to some extent.
It is this place that has seen "Dhirubhai Ambani" build his empire and so many other people who have flourished and given Mumbai its reputation of the financial capital of India. And in this very place there are some people who think they are the bosses and Mumbai (Maharashtra as a whole) belongs to them. They are the "Sena" "Raj". Initially they did all the politics together then created a rift between themselves to gain political mileage.
What is a king without his subjects? Or what will a ruler gain if he is to choose the people he wants to rule upon? Many questions can be raised seeing the things done by these two. Dare to ask/oppose them and you will be shown hell on earth, such is their reputation. You should attend the public meetings they organize, it will be full of energy and it will definitely teach you some unethical phrases. I really don't know why this charade against the North Indians? What will they achieve by doing this? You must be thinking if I am talking this because I might also be a North Indian who must have felt bad by all the happenings recently. I am one of those Maharashtrians who think that India is a democratic country and every person here has the right to live and flourish in a place he likes. If such people oppose to this then that day will not be far when we will see another partition or who knows our country can be taken over like the Britishers did long time ago. Just think of what would happen then...
If they continue this stand against the North Indians then almost 30% of Mumbai will be empty and almost all the saloons in your area and vegetable vendors will be gone. Funny part is when you would wake up one day and think of getting a haircut and will have to travel some distance to get it done. Coming back to the serious part of this issue, why can we not treat human beings as just that and not see their caste etc.. Why can't we live and let live. If the north Indians are doing something wrong then there is the law to take care of it. There are many Maharashtrians who are at respectable positions. If they feel the Marathi's are not reaching top positions (which is incorrect) then look at it in a different way rather than blaming the north Indians. They present themselves as the torch- bearers of the Marathi community and they would do good to them. In what way??? By breaking shops and burning places? There are many genuine issues that needs attention. Rather than making false promises, misleading the people and taking to unnecessary violence if they work for the betterment of people Mumbai will be a far better place to live in.
I am not sure how my review will be received by everyone of you. Some of you would be strongly supporting them and I might be disliked or even opposed aggressively. I only wrote what I felt. Your comments are welcome.
