If there is one thing I love about our country is the affordability of things. Mostly the essential ones like food, shelter, clothing and medical care. India according to the financial times is one of the most affordable places to live in, even though we are a big country of more than a billion people we have managed to control every sector of our economy and we are increasingly making access to the most basic needs for the poor a reality. Through credit services offered by micro finance institutions, the poor who live in the slums of Delhi and other major cities are able to borrow money to help themselves like start their own businesses.

I think the reason why we have managed to rise so quickly is the hard working nature of the Indian people. Our companies have gone from being local to international, companies like Tata motors which recently acquired the jaguar land rover is poof that as Indians we can play a major part in the global economy. Other Indian companies have also dominated the global economy, companies in the steel sector and communications industry. Another characteristic about our country that has lead to the phenomenal growth is the availability of health care services in the country; unlike a long time ago our universities are able to produce enough doctors and nurses to meet the staffing needs of our hospitals.
