Tired of not getting resolution through the customer care representatives? Frustrated with the appalling post sales service offered to you?
Well here are a few tips which worked for me and could work well for you too in case you have a complaint for which you seek active and quick redressal.
1.Call the customer care number and be a bit aggressive. Tell the operator that you will not think twice and jump ship to another company if needed(this works best for DTH/MOBILE/Broadband/Services). If you act a little edgy and angry the customer care representative will almost certainly crack and transfer your call to a senior executive. Talk about your problems with this executive as they are more experienced with customer relations and can escalate your complaint to 'priority' level.
2.Bombard the customer care number with several calls during the day. Be relentless in your quest for justice.
3.Post complaints on sites such as Moutshut.com, Consumercomplaints.in and grahakseva.com. Since these are public forums they can damage the image of a company so they do take such complaints seriously. Do add your subscriber id or account id , this helps the companies to track your complaint. Most companies will post a reply on your complaint on the very same day you make a complaint. Please do acknowledge the companies once they solve your issue and remove the complaint.
4.Post your complaint directly on their facebook page as well, this is bound to get their attention.
5.Get in touch with the nodal officer of your area, if all else fails.
On a side note, it's not fair to blame the customer care executives for their poor service. Blame the companies for hiring poorly qualified people to handle their helplines and paying them so less that they don't have any job motivation. The companies in India(except a few) fail to realise the importance the need of good customer support and continue to spend very less towards this department.
It's time for us consumers to realise that good customer support is our right and competent resolution of our complaints is a must. Do spread the word and be a part of the quest for improving customer service & support in India.
