As I looked up to his cheerful face
My heart blossomed with joy;
That was greeted my the widest smile,
And I swirled round and round
And asked myself; “Is it love going through my spine?”
My heart replied; “Yes: you are in a magic spell.
The spell that is bestowed by the divine.
The divine feeling called ‘LOVE’;
Treasure it, my dear; treasure it all through your life.”
My innocent self believed every word
And a rush of tears rolled down from nowhere.
The days went-by feeling for him, cherishing him,
and wailing for him in the night.
Longing for together, once get unite,
But nothing seemed to happen, nothing seemed to turn on.
But still my innocent self believed every word,
“Treasure it, my dear; treasure it all through your life.”
I looked out every moment for him:
I craved to hear my name from him:
I longed to run to him.
But nothing matched the reality
How long do I wait?
How long shall I wait to see my dream come true?
I was asking to myself !
Finally, reality broke upon me ?
All are false I came to know
Love is an illusion and never can it be true,
He was never mine—
I yelled and asked my heart -
Why did you show me hoe to dream?
Why make such false promises?
Why this deception with innocence?
My heart replied; “Love is a beautiful emotion,
Treasure it, my dear; treasure it all through your life.”
I sat down with an empty heart
Darkness engulfed me from all sides
I cried softly; “He was never mine!”
He was never mine?
But he was there, beside me, in my dreams.
We walked hours and hours from dawn to dusk!
In a moonlit night, beside the beach, forever hand in hand.
These were the moments we lived together-
Closest to our hearts and never been so close before.
My name sprang from his soft lips and I in his arms;
I felt I was in Heaven; and these moments eternal
Then how could I say that love was an illusion:
Love is beyond all measures of the universe
It is an eternal bliss, and I thank my God.
At last, I shall believe every word of my heart,
Now, it ran like a hymn, through me, as I say?
I will treasure it, my dear, I will treasure all through my life!!!
