The reason is that the offers and the coupons that we think is a plus point when we are buying a product online is actually a marketing strategy combined with calculated pricing of a product.Online shopping websites set price of the product such that even after applying offer or discount coupon they are able make the same profit that they make without giving discount on product.For example suppose a product is being sold for Rs 100 with a profit of Rs 10.Now suppose they want to attract customer by giving discount on same product.So,what they do is that they will increase the price of the same product to Rs110 and will give discount of 10 %. So,after 10% discount also they are selling the product at a profit of Rs10.So, next time whenever you are buying a product just check the price of the same product on different websites and you will come to know how we all are getting fooled by so called discounts and offers.
