What is meaning of these words??? What is the Exact Meaning Of "Beneficent"?

In my Korean Vocabulary, It says doing good. and they put "Generous" as its Synonym.

Are they the same??? I do not think so.

Generous means Tolerant.(Am I right?)

How come they are the same?

What is meaning of Benevolent??

In my Vocabulary, It says "intended to do good"

(My Vocabulary Has Two Part, One is in english and Another one is in Korean}

But in korean, It is written there, Generous and Tolerant.
